Photographing and creating content for any business is a challenge, but to try to do it yourself is even harder. When Scott reached out to us to capture some monthly content of his barber studio, we knew exactly why he was struggling to do it on his own. For the most part, he is a one-man shop and how difficult is it to selfie and straight razor at the same time?
As with any business, we looked to capture the essence of talent and skill that Scott possesses. To accurately capture this we focused on a several close up detail shots of his hands.
The concentration on his face is evident and shows the true passion for perfection that he has.
As Scott expands his shop he has developed an entire lifestyle about his brand. There are branded t-shirts, skullies, scarves and all new natural formulated Beard Balm.
Custom made rack to showcase the new Shear Anarchy apparel greets you as soon as you walk in the door.
When photographing for social, it is IMPORTANT to capture some essence of the lifestyle of your business. Scott is a car tuner and loves his Sooby, and as any passionate fanboy; he isn’t afraid to voice his disdain for Hondas. lol
In a social media feed, some creative angles really impress followers and a perspective photo like the one we took from above, really makes people look twice at your feed.
In his new shop, he hasn’t been able to get an updated headshot so we took some of his allotted monthly content time, to capture the above headshots. Most headshots are leaning more and more towards the environmental backgrounds and his fit so perfectly as well.
Don’t forget when photographing your space to capture some ultra wide pictures to really let your followers know what life looks like inside your space.
